With the publication of the Castles and Estates Map of the Dunbars in Scotland I wish to pursue a similar effort for their holdings in England. They did homage to various English kings for their lands held by them so there should be some records. I want to check with Lyle who likely has many sources from his research into the Rise and Fall of the House of Dunbar books. Many other Clan Dunbar members likely have sources of information they can share as well. I will also look at other known books like "Mighty Subjects" and "Loaves and Fishes". Of course the easiest is by riding on someone else's horse so off to the internet I go. I turned up this PHd. thesis:
THE ACTS OF THE EARLS OF DUNBAR RELATING TO SCOTLAND
c. 1 124 - c. 1 289: A STUDY OF LORDSHIP IN SCOTLAND IN THE TWELFTH
AND THIRTEENTH CENTURIES

Appendix 6 The Lands of the Earls in England, including Map 6 449 Looks like a good start. I see Appendix 3 has 15 plates of the Seals of the Earls. Appendix 5 has genealogical tables of interest.
